All the Home School children that I met seem to be 3 grades smarter than Public School children, I noticed this because I have worked in Daycare and Kindergarden.

Because at home you can work at whatever skill level you’re at, and you don’t have to sit there and learn stuff you already know. I had to do that ALL of last year because the principal got rid of honors classes. But now there’s a different principal, and the honor classes are back!
Would Homer and/or Marge volunteer to home school the kids ?
NO - the people who homeschool their kids are petty smart people to start with.
AND - I have to assume that homeschooled children must meet the same test standards as regularly schooled kids. So if homeschooled kids fail the tests, they get to go to regular school again.
I would think it is because they have one on one teaching.
A Home-Schooled child can work ahead at his/her own pace - as soon as the concept is mastered, he/she can move on to more difficult material. A child in the public school system must wait for 25 other students to grasp the material before the class moves on as a whole.
Home-Schooled children also receive one on one attention (or two on one or three on one if they have siblings) - the point is they receive much more attention from a teacher at home that from a teacher with 25 other students to teach.
Generally, the type of parent who decides to home-school is already concerned and active in their child’s education. Like the previous poster said, Homer Simpson isn’t going to home-school his children.
