Yeah, must be a vicious rumor to make our kids nowadays look good.
What is this world coming to? The next thing you know, they’d be coming home to visit you for Christmas!
Hear, hear philipw, you are spot on ![]()
My own nephews and nieces do a lot of ‘community’ activities, such as donating food items at christmas time, and their friends are also involved.
Just because they have a few laughs while they do it, dress a bit differently to their seniors and don’t talk about it much, let’s not make the mistake of thinking young people are not interested.
It’s encouraging to know that the future is in the hands of these caring young people.
And it is great to see someone making this point for all to read!
Cheers! ![]()
Our school raised over $25, 000 (Australian) for various charities this year. We also had a deal with a rich business man who lives in our area that if we raised more than we did last year (about $20, 500), he would double every cent.
i can only speek for me and my friends but i get names of kids off the tree at my church and buy christmas persents for them and bring canned food to school..i think people need more faith in us. were not all that bad!
