I feel myself this is another drug of addiction, I’m trying to talk someone out of allowing there 16yr. old son, 10th grade not to subject him to this. He claims the kid is always tired with sleep disorder, (I do not believe that). I would like to know what info I can give him, unless you think there is no problem with it. Thanks…S

any thing with the word drug in it is not safe. doing drugs is not smart, its just plain retarded! this kid just wants to join the crowd, another stupid thing. tell those parents that unless they want their kid to be screwed up for the rest of his life not to let him do it.
P.S. the tv will say anything as long as it can get a few bucks.
(I am assuming you are talking about legal drugs for ADD such as Adderall or Concerta)
If the kids doctor prescribed the med, then unfortunately there may not be a whole lot you can do. Only a doctor can make a correct diagnosis (and yes, sometimes their choices of medications- or even to give medications at all- are not the best). I know it has actually helped some kids focus better and it helps, and I know of kids who have abused it. So, this could go either way…
