My bet is HECK YES. Why are parents so heck bent to make sure every kid has a Nintendo or Wii or Rock Band then?
Funny how almost NO adults answered this and overwhelmingly, with kids voting, they are against my idea.
WHAT A SHOCK!!
lmao…if you are so smart, purple, why cant you figure out that the higher IQ comes with more time spent studying, reading, and doing schoolwork?
I should have known that noone but kids would answer this and slant the perspective, lol.
Hahahahah. No way jose, could you see the riots that would start?
And how do you know no one here is a parent? You’re idea is stupid, accept the fact. Kids are gonna get their hands on whatever they want, whether it’s drugs or videogames. And it is not the government’s job to control this kind of thing, it’s parents. The government cannot possibly make videogames illegal for kids without violating parents rights to chose what is ok for their child to be doing. Besides, I think we have bigger things to worry about than videogames.
HECK NO.
Kids and teens have video games for fun.
That’s all it is–fun.
If casinos and bars were outlawed, would less adults become gambling addicts and drunks?
They’d find a way to do it anyways.
So would kids with video games.
It would never work.
This question I find funny in so many ways.
Raising IQ?
Seriously?
Video games don’t make people stupid.
Not all parents are first of all. And second, yes, education is important. But so is having fun. I think that a balanced schedule of work and games would be good.
EDiT: I bet your kids are bored as hell at your house.
I don’t have a Wii
I don’t have a PS2
I don’t have an X-Box
I don’t have Nintendo
I don’t have a PSP
The only thing I have is a DS, and I don’t play it all that often, so you can leave my parents out of that equation, okay?
My answer is also no, when I was younger, I had a LeapFrog LEARNING video game. It helped me understand the classes I was having problems in.
Well what are we gonna do when we don’t have school? Yeah, there’s reading and stuff, but we can’t spend ALL our leisure time doing that.
Oh yeah, there could also be a rise in juvenile delinquency since a lot of kids would be so freakin bored.
well my bet is HECK NO!!! it’d just make the kids get into more trouble because they’d have nothing to entertain them. Parents buy those things because they feel the kids deserve them or they just want to do something nice for the kids.
Right well Mr. Smarty. I play World of Warcraft ( I have a level 56) And I have straight A’s. So the answer to your question would be no.
